Around Town

                The Russell Community welcomes our many new residents.  May you find the community a good

place to live and help us make this a better community.  We would appreciate any input you might have.

                Faith United Methodist Church would like to thank all the parents who brought their children to Vacation Bible School.  It was our privilege to share our love of Jesus with them.  Hope to see you in worship Sundays at 10:30 and hope to see you next year for Vacation Bible School.

                Kaitlyn McCurdy, daughter of Mark and Amy McCurdy of Russell recently graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa.  Kaitlyn, a graduate of Wayne Community School earned a B.S. In Biology and plans to continue her education in the medical field. In the next year she will be serving in the Episcopal Service Corps in Texas.  While there will will be working with the homeless and needy.

                Kelly McCurdy, daughter of Mark and Amy McCurdy of Russell was among the nearly 400 graduates of the last graduating class at A.I.B. Kelly received an associates degree in Allied Science Event, Hospitality and Tourism Management.  Kelly, also a graduate of Wayne Community School will continue her education at Iowa State University this fall.
