Around Town 

A fundraiser for the Russell Historical Society is planned to pay on the new heating/cooling system. Ed Sellers will offer dance lessons starting on January 19 for six weeks, from 7-9 p.m. Instruction will include two-step, waltz, polka and swing. Lessons will take place at the Russell Community Center. Fee is $60 for the six weeks. To sign-up or for questions call Ed at 641-344-6571. 

Books and Breakfast is back. Attention children ages 3 to 7 and their parents, grandparents or guardians. Join us at the Russell Library from 9:30-10:15 on the following 3 Saturdays: January 28, February 25 and March 25. Enjoy a fun activity, listen to a story, have a light breakfast and receive a free book! This is a non-religious activity sponsored by the Russell Historical Library and Faith United Methodist Church.
