Mike Beaty and World Percheron Congress

Chariton Firemen on Old Betsy are Jim Larrington and Cody Smith.

Mike entered the 17th World Percheron Congress in Des Moines recently. 

He won 7th place overall (around 800 Percherons were entered) for the Farm Vehicle division with Old Betsy, Chariton's vintage fire engine. 

For winning 7th place he received the  fold-able chair with side arm.

On the chair is the plaque he won for 7th place, along with ribbons for

Feed Team Race, Walking Plow, Barnyard Pull, Feed Team Race (won #1 & 4), Sulky Plow,
