Around Town

Faith United Methodist Church will have Vacation Bible School July 11-14 from 6-8 p.m.   The program will be Thursday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m.  The theme is Barnyard Roundup:  Jesus Gathers Us Together.  All children from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome.  Come join the fun--singing, Bible lesson, crafts and snack!

Perhaps  you have noticed a good-looking  tree (flowering crab) that has been planted on the NW corner of the Russell Historical Society. It is planted in honor of the work Betty Cross has contributed to the Museum/Library.

                Story-Time at the Museum/Library

The Russell Museum/Library is pleased to be offering Story-Time with Jennifer Bear, kindergarten teacher at Columbus in Chariton. They will resume on Monday, July 11 and 18 at 2 p.m. For ages four through six.

Shop Local

In the past years, Russell has seen the decline/departure of some businesses because they were not utilized enough to keep them in town. Faithful, conscientious citizens can prevent this from happening by buying local. You can help by purchasing your insurance needs, buying stamps/mailing packages, using check-out facilities for media/books, purchase hot food, refrigerated items, reserves rooms for small groups with or without food, enjoy entertainment, buy gasoline in the summer months and enjoy coffee with your neighbors.
